Lo2: Interview
I chose to interview an actress from the hit TV series Pretty Little Liars, the interview answers were completely made up as i would not be able to interview this actress. I took inspiration for the interview from other magazines who have interviewed cast members.

Lo2: Legal and Ethical Considerations
- Violence
- Drugs
- Language
- Sexism
- Racism
- Sex/Nudity
- Extreme acts of religious viewpoints
My magazine might fall under this act because the media scrutinises fashion photography and how the individual is portrayed. This issue would fall under the nudity part of the act because fashion can often be revealing and the images therefore the models must be photographed in a way that is not deemed revealing or explicit enough to cause offence.
-As fashion can be extreme the content of the images must not appear to be violent or offensive, they must portray the clothing along side the model in an appropriate manor.
-If interviewing bloggers or any person exclusive to the magazine, i will not print any language which is deemed to be inappropriate for the readers of any age as this will be scrutinised under the obscene publications act.
-Because my magazine is fashion, Violence and Drugs will not be an issue as entities of this nature will not be relevant to any of the content with in my magazine.
-The way in which the models are portrayed through the images will not cause offence that may come under sexism or racism, this also applies to the articles throughout my magazine. Both male and female models will be used throughout therefore i shall ensure that my models are clothed appropriately to not be scrutinised by the act.
libel - To publish in print (including pictures), writing or broadcast through radio, television or film, an untruth about another which will do harm to that person or his/her reputation, by tending to bring the target into ridicule, hatred, scorn or contempt of others. Libel is the written or broadcast form of defamation, distinguished from slander which is oral defamation. It is a tort (civil wrong) making the person or entity (like a newspaper, magazine or political organisation) open to a lawsuit for damages by the person who can prove the statement about him/her was a lie. Publication need only be to one person, but it must be a statement which claims to be fact, and is not clearly identified as an opinion. While it is sometimes said that the person making the libellous statement must have been intentional and malicious, actually it need only be obvious that the statement would do harm and is untrue.
To avoid being sued i will not print something that is deemed to be untrue about anyone who is deemed to be a reasonable adult that could take offence to what i have printed
Copyright:
- As a magazine often uses images taken by professional or other photographers copyright is a big issue
- Print an image that you haven't obtained rights to and the owner can claim damages.
- Print an image and miscredit it and the same can happen.
- Print an image which shows copyright material without permission and the owner of the subject can claim damages.
Law Of Content:
Under the contempt of court act 1981 it is a criminal contempt of court to publish anything which creates a real risk that the course of justice in proceedings may be seriously impaired.

Lo1: Audience Profile
TA Member:
Serena Baker
As a 19 year old girl from Yorkshire, i currently attend Hallam Uni studying Law and English at a higher education standard. As i have been in further education for a year now i have recently got a part time job which on average i earn £60 a week on top of my bursary which i can spend at my own leisure. With this money i buy my monthly mags such as Company and Elle because i like to keep up to date with fashion and have good style even tough when i shop its on a low budget. I like to read these magazines because they have great information on where the best style is for the cheapest price and they usually include exclusive offers for shops such as Urban Outfitters and Top Shop which are some of my favourite shops, but they are just too expensive to shop there regularly. I also like these magazine as they feature celebrities that i idolise and offer exclusive behind the scenes footage of their lives and they jobs. for example when Cara Delevign did the shoot for TopShop A/W14, i could see some of the pictures which weren't released with the main brand. My family fall typically in the ABC1 demographic because my family and i have lived in Dore, Sheffield all of my life and my siblings and i attended well established schools from nursery through to secondary where i achieved my Alevel grades of As and A*s. In my free time i attend as many shows are release events i can ranging from Leeds to London as this is my favourite hobby, although i have no interest of taking this hobby into a profession, i still a major love of mine.

Lo1: Content Planning
Images:
All the images used in my magazine will be of fashion photography in Sheffield that i will take, events are exhibitions of fashion happening locally which i can attend or people who will help with the production of my magazine will attend, people and bloggers that i may have articles about. All my images will be edited to the same theme to keep a consistent style ad identity to my magazine.
Content
My content will include, fashion, music, art and events happening that i can attend and write an article about. All the articles will be relevant to a style. I will have advertisers as this is how my magazine will be profitable to begin with in realistic terms. I will hopefully include interviews from relevant people and images of their work to create page spreads and interesting content.
Advertisers
As my magazine is fashion based i will advertise fashion products, sales in high street mainstreaming shops which will appeal to my audience, cosmetics, beauty products and relevant events. Shops which are most popular to my readers or that are popular amongst bloggers i will design page spreads of their clothing especially such as Brandy Melville to advertise their products, this is a form o advertising as it promotes their products while staying to the theme of my magazine and being content which my readers will find interesting.
Layout
The layout of my magazine will be consistent through out all issues i create and will stick to a specific colour scheme creating a style. The images will feature relevant content which fits with the theme of my magazine and the articles with in the magazine will have images and heading following the theme. I will lay my magazine out like a scrap nook because this is in style at the moment and will appeal to my target audience of teen/ young adult women.
Covers
My covers will be images taken in Sheffield as this is my local convenient place to take images, the person or people in my cover will be some who is featured further in the magazine to make it relevant and to give the readers a slight preview into what is in the issue.
Variation of articles
Although my articles will follow a specific theme of fashion and style i will have a variation of articles with information on things such as bloggers, events, street style and affordable fashion; then the contrast of the runway fashion, city style and what not to wear. I will have interviews with bloggers and fashionistas from England to contribute to my British fashion themed magazine.
